Loftware Connector®
The Loftware Connector® establishes a high-speed 'connectivity bridge' between enterprise applications and the Loftware Print Server (LPS). The combination of Loftware Connector® and Loftware Print Server enables enterprise applications to generate barcode and RFID smart labels across large networks of thermal-transfer printers and empowers companies to comply with current and future barcode label and RFID technology specifications regardless of their label production volumes.Effortless Integration
The Loftware Connector® is easy to integrate into your existing environment with very few modifications to host applications. In fact, no custom programming is required to use the Loftware Connector® with either the Oracle Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or the Oracle Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA) applications. Minimal effort is required to integrate the Loftware Connector® for SAP® Applications and other third-party software packages and/or internally-developed applications. These applications can make print requests independent of printer languages and compliance mandates. They need only specify the label format, (barcode label, RFID smart label, etc.), the associated label data, and the target printer. The Loftware Connector® along with the Loftware Print Server performs the 'heavy lifting' of translating the print request into specific device languages and carrying out the barcode label or RFID smart label printing process.
Intelligent Queuing and Error Recovery
The Loftware Connector® works with the Loftware Print Server to drive industrial-strength label printing. Off-loading thousands of label printing requests to hundreds of barcode label and RFID printers is not a trivial task. Printers are often miles away and are sometimes offline. Label requests may come faster than barcode and RFID printers can serve them. Organizations that use the Loftware Print Server with the Loftware Connector® overcome these hurdles with intelligent queuing and error recovery capabilities that guarantee delivery of all print jobs. Host applications send RFID smart label and barcode label requests to the Loftware Connector® which then applies the appropriate filter and decision logic. The Loftware Connector® then passes the requests to a Loftware Print Server across a high-speed TCP/IP socket. The Loftware Print Server converts the label requests into the appropriate native printer language and queues them for delivery to printers. The Loftware Print Server ensures the successful delivery of these label print requests to the target printer even if there is a queue of backloged print jobs or if the target printer is temporarily offline. The Loftware Connector®, along with the Loftware Print Server, is designed to support the high-volume label print throughput requirements such as those imposed by ERP, WMS and other business-critical enterprise applications.
