Yes. In case you need some additional time to switch between v5 and 2017 both ULL Manager applications can be used on same computer. In this case be careful to set "SSCC starting value" in "Setup Preferences" properly prior printing within each ULL Manager. Database where current SSCC value is stored is different for each application, so preferably use only one version (ULL Manager 2017)

No, serial number for each product is different. To activate ULL Manager 2017 you will need new serial number. It is provided by IKEA. Instructions for activation can be found at: User guide

Computer crash

Install IKEA ULL Manager 2017 on new computer and contact IKEA for another serial number.

Printer breakdown

If your printer breaks down and you replace it with new printer, you will consume another license (printer) count. But application enables double the number of the printers for a certain period of time (30 days) because of the testing purposes or mistakenly used printers. There is a warning if you exceed the licensed number, but printing is still possible. After 7 days of non-usage of printers, they will be deleted from the usage list.

Both computers are in the same domain or workgroup
  • Make a backup of database on old computer (see point 7 below for details)
  • Install ULL Manager 2017 on new computer (follow regular installation steps)
  • During activation use same serial as on the old computer
  • On old computer deactivate NiceLabel (within NiceLabel Designer application), uninstall NiceLabel and delete ULL Manager 2017 folder located in C:\ULLManager2017
  • Restore database on new computer (see point 7 below for details)

You should install IKEA ULL Manager 2017 on both computers and activate it with the same license. Database file should be located on some shared folder to which both computers have access. This option is only available if computers are in the same domain/workgroup!

  • Locate file c:\IKEAULLManager2017\Database\EcisUll.mdb and copy that file to some safe folder.
  • After install of IKEA ULL Manager 2017 on new location locate folder c:\IKEAULLManager2017\Database\ and copy EcisUll.mdb to that location (overwrite existing file).
  • To transfer also all log do both above steps also for PrintLog.mdb file.

No. Using IKEA ULL Manager 2017 cannot be used on Windows XP operating system. At least Windows 7 32-bit is required. Recommended system is Windows 10.

Default provided license enables printing to one printer (driver). For such cases contact IKEA for different license number.

Yes, for additional printers different serial number should be used. Contact IKEA for an upgrade license.
